How to Preserve Your Jack-o’-Lantern

Extend the life of your Jack-O’-Lantern with a few easy steps.

First, create a solution of one teaspoon bleach and one gallon of water. Soak your Jack-O’-Lantern in the solution for three hours. Pat it dry and rub it with either vegetable oil or petroleum jelly, inside and out, including all the carved edges. This should slow down drying, shriveling, and the growth of mold.

Flavors of the Season

Fully embrace the warm scents of fall with apple, cinnamon, pumpkin, ginger and maple.

Cooking and baking with those spices creates an aroma specific to this time of year. When not in the kitchen, a scented candle will do. The essence will fill your home with warmth and the flavors of the season.
